ABOUT ME

“I am a night owl, sleep all day and work all night, wandering in the darkness” - An Tran

I was born in Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh City and pursued art studies in both Vietnam and the United Kingdom. Before 2014, I travelled around the globe for my international practice, art residence and exhibitions. I settled in New Zealand in 2014 and began my dance movement journey in Down Under.

I enjoy the process of making art and the psychological impacts that lay underneath. Both majors in psychology and art enrich my knowledge, thus empowering the works I am developing as a dance/movement therapist and a performance artist. I work with people in need of art/body movement, especially children.

I am a professional member of the Dance Movement Therapy Association of Australasia.
